Eagle River fireworks
6-8 p.m. Tuesday; Lions Park, 18344 Eagle River Road in Eagle River
This free fireworks display is a local favorite. Food trucks, fire pits and plenty more fun activities will be on hand.
Neon Masquerade Ball
7 p.m. Tuesday; Williwaw Social, 609 F St.
A free masquerade mask will be given to the first 400 people through the door. Beachcomber Creations will host a neon body art station, a photo booth will be on site, and a complimentary glass of sparkling wine will be provided for toasting to the new year. And of course, plenty of DJs will be spinning with Joe Brady and GRE in the social hall, and Fan Service and Lloyds Noize in the speakeasy. Ticket options range from $25-$50.
Bee Gees Gold
8-10:30 p.m. Tuesday; Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center, 600 W. Seventh Ave.
Close out 2024 with this Bee Gees tribute band on the third floor of the Dena’ina Center. There will be a 20-minute intermission, and doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $55 with other options available.
Downtown Anchorage fireworks
7-9 p.m. Tuesday; Chinook Lot, Third Avenue and E Street
The Anchorage Downtown Partnership sponsors this favorite event each year with fireworks scheduled for 8 p.m. This year’s celebration includes performances by Flow Zone Dance Studio and Alaska Fire Circus, plus music from H3. Also at the downtown gathering: food trucks, a beer garden and a sledding hill on-site with sleds available.
49th State rooftop
7 p.m. Tuesday; 49th State Brewing, 717 W. Third Ave.
The patio makes a great spot to watch the fireworks, with heaters outside and winter warmer cocktails available. Seating is limited but there will be plenty of standing room. All seats, rails, spots, etc., are first-come, first-served. After the fireworks, check out the Heritage Theater for live music. Tickets are $20.
Alyeska Torchlight Parade and Fireworks
9 p.m./10 p.m. Tuesday; Sitzmark Bar and Grill, 100 Olympic Mountain Loop in Girdwood
The Torchlight Parade starts at 9 p.m. with fireworks to follow at 9:30 p.m. Later in the evening, songwriter and producer Ralph Castelli headlines a New Year’s show at the Sitzmark with Wendlo. The Torchlight Parade is a free community event; tickets for the Sitzmark show are at the Alyeska Resort website.
Prime rib and Robot Rock at the Hotel Captain Cook
8 p.m. Tuesday; Hotel Captain Cook, 939 W. Fifth Ave.
The famous Captain Cook buffet opens at 8 p.m. followed by music from 1980s cover band I Like Robots, with a Champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $150.
Wasilla fireworks
8 p.m. Tuesday; Iditapark, 594 W. Nelson Ave. in Wasilla
Wasilla will host its traditional New Year’s fireworks display at 8 p.m., with complimentary coffee and cocoa at the Red Pavilion and a broadcast on radio station 95.5 The Pass KNLT-FM.
Anchorage Opera New Year’s Eve Gala
6 p.m. Tuesday; Hilton Anchorage, 500 W. Third Ave.
This Anchorage Opera fundraiser gala includes an all-inclusive ticket, for two people, that includes a three-course meal, live entertainment and dancing, fireworks viewing and a Champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $400.
