Letters to the Editor

Letter: Shouldn’t we be trying to boost the number of Alaska voters?

Only 63.19% of Alaskan registered voters voted in the most recent state election in 2024.

Wouldn’t it be better for democracy to try to increase the number of people and the percentage of the electorate who votes?

Yet Gov. Dunleavy just proposed legislation that would inevitably reduce both the number and percentage of the electorate.
