A stabbing Friday afternoon in East Anchorage sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.
Officers responded to the 7900 block of East 32nd Avenue — by Muldoon Road — after multiple people called in to report a stabbing, the Anchorage Police Department said in an online update.
Officers located a suspect when they arrived and took the person into custody, police said. The stabbing victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that police described as life-threatening.
The incident prompted a significant police response, with part of the area cordoned off Friday afternoon as officers conducted their investigation.
