Photos: Hundreds flock to Hilltop as Summer Concert Series wraps up
Thursday’s show was the last outdoor summer concert hosted by the Anchorage Concert Association. Anchorage musicians Rosie Rush and Medium Build performed.
The Anchorage Concert Association wrapped up its Summer Concert Series on Thursday with a packed crowd gathered at Hilltop Ski Area.
Camping chairs and blankets filled the local bunny hill while featured musicians Rosie Rush and Medium Build performed.
“This is like, a lot of people we don’t even normally see up here, which is incredible,” said Trevor Bird, Hilltop’s general manager.
“We think it’s gonna be one of our biggest events we’ve had. I mean, it helps that Medium Build’s playing, and everybody loves Nick,” he added while checking IDs at the entrance. Musician Nick Carpenter is the driving force behind Medium Build.
Bird estimates that around 700 people showed up for the event.
